RIP tributes have poured in for popular Dundalk gentleman John Boyle who died on Tuesday April 1 2025.
John was from Emer Terrace, Castletown Road, Dundalk in Louth and died peacefully, in the dedicated care of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Tributes have come from all over as Louth locals remember the hard work and dedication John put in to his church and local community throughout his life.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers Danny, Pat and Ollie, sister Helena, his sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and many friends.
Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered John, with one mourner writing,
"Our sincere condolences to the Boyle and extended families. A lovely person who was also deeply immersed in his faith and in the ministry of St Nicholas Church where he will be deeply missed. Rest in Peace."

Another message said, "John was always a dedicated church attendee and he assisted as a regular collector for his local parish church for many years. May John now be reunited with his dear wife Madge & his family loved ones in Paradise.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time."
Another mourner wrote, "Our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences goes out to all John's family on his passing. John was a true gentleman who gave of his time willingly to many organisations particulary Inniskeen Grattans both as a player and administrator/fundraiser over a great number of years. "
"Sincere condolences to all of Mr Boyle’s family did great work for the church over the years an absolute gentleman may he rest in peace," another RIP.ie message said.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:
Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk (Eircode A91 KW52, entrance on Castletown Road) on both Wednesday, April 2nd and Thursday, April 3rd from 4pm-9pm.
Removal on Friday, April 4th at 10.40am, proceeding on foot to St Nicholas’ Church (A91 FK19), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. After Mass, the cortège will drive to St. Patrick’s Cemetery (A91 F598) for burial.
