Louth player scoops EuroMillions windfall

The winning EuroMillions numbers for Tuesday’s 24th March draw were: 12, 16, 17, 18, 27 and the Lucky Stars were 01, 03. 

Tuesday night brought a stroke of luck to Louth, as a local EuroMillions player celebrated a big win in the main draw. One lucky ticket-holder bought their ticket from Applegreen, Dundalk Retail Park, matched five numbers to scoop an impressive €13,468, joining a host of winners across the country.  

The winning EuroMillions numbers for Tuesday’s 24th March draw were: 12, 16, 17, 18, 27 and the Lucky Stars were 01, 03. 

Meanwhile, another players in last night’s main EuroMillions draw matched 5 numbers to also win €13,468.  The player purchased their ticket from Spar, Cathedral Court, New Street, Dublin 8 on Monday 23rd March.

While the spotlight also shone on Dublin’s €500,000 EuroMillions Plus winner, Louth residents are being reminded to double-check their tickets

A EuroMillions Plus player in Dublin scooped the top prize of €500,000 in the Plus draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw, Tuesday 24th March, at Centra, Dame Street, Dublin 2.  

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for Tuesday’s 24th March draw were: 03, 06, 08, 42 and 49.  

The National Lottery is urging players in both Co. Louth and Co. Dublin to carefully check their tickets, as incredible prizes from last night’s EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws are yet to be claimed.  

Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson said:  

What a Tuesday night it has been for our EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus players! A Dublin player took home the biggest prize of the night when they scooped the top prize of €500,000 after matching all 5 numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw. And of course, that wasn’t our only big winner in Tuesday night’s draws. 

"Two players in Louth and Dublin scooped €13,468 each in the main draw. In total, over 43,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the Euromillions and EuroMillions Plus draws. The Tuesday night winners should now make contact with our Prize Claims team who will make arrangements for them to visit National Lottery Headquarters and collect their prize.”

Tonight’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €4.5 million. Tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales this evening. 

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 39 years ago. In 2024 alone, €239.3 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
