Set your phasers to stun and prepare to be stunned yourself at Dundalk’s first major Comic Con.
Saturday July 5th will see The Fairways Hotel transformed into a haven for hundreds of local comic con fans, providing a local alternative to the conventions further afield.
John Morris who famously voiced Andy in the groundbreaking Toy Story movies will be there for his first ever Irish appearance. He will be available all day to meet fans of the franchise and sign memorabilia, as well as a live talk about his experiences working on such a huge franchise, along with other voice roles in The Nightmare Before Christmas and Lego Island.
Joining John is creature performer Paul Warren, most recently seen onscreen as Shrinker Tom in BeetleJuice Beetlejuice and Dr Quadpaw, the 4-armed Doctor in the critically acclaimed Andor series. Paul will also speak about working on these and the many Marvel productions and other Star Wars movies he has worked on. He will also be showing some behind-the-scenes footage to film fans on the day, so make sure to ask him for a sneak-peak at his table.
For Jim Henson Company fans, Mike Quinn will be making a guest appearance to talk about his career in puppetry, which started with Jim Henson on The Great Muppet caper and carried on into The Dark Crystal, Return of the Jedi, Labyrinth, Fraggle Rock and many other classic films and tv series’. He is also known for animating the Woody’s Roundup sequence in Toy Story 2, voicing a character in Andor and most recently bringing Shrinker Tom to life in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice alongside fellow guest Paul Warren.
If Marvel and DC comics are your thing make sure to stop by Ruairí Coleman’s table and check out his work on titles including Spiderman, Superman, Luke Skywalker and Captain Marvel. The Armagh native who’s artwork is in demand by the major publishers has also turned his hand to writing on his creator-owned series “Astonishing Times”.
Dr Who fans are in for a special treat as the whole VFX team for Season 25 Blu-Ray re-release join us with props used in the production, and other screen-used props from shows like Blake’s 7, Space 1999 and more. The Dr Who experience at the event will be enhanced further by the inclusion of The Eye of Harmoni costume group who’s main focus is on breath-taking Dr Who related costumes and props.
More world class costumers in attendance will include Reel Icons, Ireland’s premier costuming group as well as members of the 501st Ireland Garrison representing Emperor Palpatine’s finest Imperial forces.
For anyone interested in cosplay we would encourage digging out those costumes and joining in the fun, with cosplay competitions for adults and children during the day. Bellisme and Phoebe Cosplays will be hosting the exciting competitions where the top cosplayers of the day will be crowned Dundalk Comic Con Cosplay Champions 2025.
Any would-be Jedi’s out there can avail of lightsaber training with Ludosport Ireland who are well known for their kindness and patience while teaching this ancient Jedi skill.

Dundalk based gaming store Eire Hobbies will be on-site to guide people through painting their own miniature, and answer any questions about table-top gaming.
Add all this to over 90 tables of comics, Pokemon traders, Lego, vintage and modern toys, Funko pops, retro games and consoles, autographs, artists, writers, and all your convention essentials.
The event will include an artist initiative that commissions Irish-based artists to create an original piece of art to celebrate a character played by one of the guests. The first 700 people in the door will receive 3 free prints, created especially for this event, depicting Andy from Toy Story, Shrinker Tom from Beetlejuice Beetlejuice as well as an amazing piece celebrating Blake’s 7. The artists involved for this event are Kiera O’Brien(Drogheda), Sam MoraYahPaper(Donegal), Ellen Kency(Navan) and Connor Flanagan(Tyrone).
