Deaths in Dundalk, December 23rd to 28th, 2016

The death has occurred of Morgan Finnegan Snr
Lemoneigh, Old Dundalk Road, Carlingford, Louth / Down

Morgan Finnegan (SNR),Tuesday 27th December 2016, Retired Bookmaker, peacefully at the Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin, Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Jane late of (Kircubbin, County Down). Morgan, beloved husband of Anne (née Breen) and loving father of Anne-Marie, Morgan, Cathal, Carolyn, Tony, Paddy and Fiona. Very deeply regretted by his loving wife, sons, daughters, sister Patricia, sons and daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

​Reposing at his residence 'Carlingford' from Wednesday evening from 6pm to 9pm and Thursday 12 noon to 9pm. Removal on Friday morning to Saint James Church, Grange arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by Cremation in Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin at 2pm.

The death has occurred of Kevin Murray
Shelagh, Hackballscross, Dundalk, Louth

Kevin Murray, Tuesday, 27th December 2016. Founding member of Naomh Malachi G.F.C. Peacefully in the love and tender care of the Louth County Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Laurence and Emily, sister Kathleen. Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Joan (nee Dooley), daughters Ann and Gráinne, sister Nancy, sons in-law Ivor and Martin, grandaughter Zara, brother in law Kevin, sister in-law Maureen, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, wounderful neighbours and friends.

​Reposing at his residence, Shelagh, from 9pm Tuesday night. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.40am proceeding on foot to The Church of The Sacred Heart, Shelagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Funeral parking at Naomh Malachi Football Grounds, please.

Transportation provided to and from the wake house.

The death has occurred of Michael O'Gara
Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, Louth / Rossnowlagh, Donegal

Michael O'Gara, Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, Co Louth. 25th December 2016. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda. Michael deeply regretted by his loving wife Bernie, sadly missed by his daughters Mary Clare and Éillis, sons Charles, John, George, Eunan and Seamus, his step children Cara, Fergal, Orlagh and Bernard, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Moorehall Lodge Oratory on Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 10:45am to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, Co. Louth arriving for 11 o'clock Mass. Burial afterwards in Deansgrange Cemetery, Dublin.

James Matthews, Christmas Day 25th December 2016, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, beloved husband of Frances (nee Doolan) and loving father of Glenda, Charmaine and Jason. Predeceased by his parents James and Una, Very deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, son, sisters Marie and Una, sons in-law Noel and Gerard, daughter in-law Niamh, grandchildren Adam, Lucy, Daniel, Leon, Ellen, Frankie, Millie and Aida, brothers and sisters in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins extented family relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rose Mullen, Christmas Eve, 24th December 2016, peacefully, in the love and tender care of Dealgan House Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Johnny. Very deeply regretted by her loving family, son Bryan, daughters Adrienne Caldwell and Nuala Mullen, son in-law Nigel, daughter in-law Anne, grandchildren Mark, Gillian, Sean, Lauren, Dara and Evan, great-grandaughter Hallie, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Aloysius (Alo) Callan
Philipstown, Dunleer, Louth

Peacefully at his residence after a short illness in his 90th year.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Bridget, sons Michael, Pat and Alo, daughters Triona and Philomena, brother Joe and Sister Ethna, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
