Dundalk Stadium is thrilled to welcome racegoers of all ages for a spectacular day of sport and entertainment on Friday August 15, as our much-anticipated Bar One Racing Annual Dual Race Day returns in style.
This unique fixture combines both horse and greyhound racing, offering a thrilling showcase of talent on track from start to finish. Whether you're a seasoned racing fan or simply looking for a fun day out, there’s something for everyone at Ireland’s only dual-purpose track.
The star of the show is the classic race, The Bar One Racing Sprint Cup Final, where 6 of the fastest dogs battle it out for the top prize.
But the action isn’t just on the track—families and children are in for a treat with a host of free kids’ activities planned throughout the day.
Our ever-popular Kids Playbus returns, packed with fun and games, while little animal lovers can enjoy pony rides and meet majestic birds of prey up close. There’ll be face painting, magic shows, and even a visit from a roaming magician to keep young minds amazed.
In a first for the stadium, we’re also hosting exciting athletics competitions for kids, giving them a chance to race and win on their own terms—with medals up for grabs.
Families can soak up the atmosphere, grab a bite from our food outlets, and enjoy an afternoon where top-tier racing meets community spirit and family fun.
Gates open early and entertainment runs throughout the day and into the evening. With a packed card of races and an unbeatable day of entertainment, Friday August 15 is shaping up to be one of the highlights of our summer calendar.
