Deaths in Louth - Friday 27 October

The death has occurred of Frank McKenna Stickillen, Dunleer Road, Ardee, Louth, A92 TY05

Frank McKenna, Stickillen, Dunleer Road, Ardee, Co. Louth.  Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at Moorehall Lodge, Ardee on Wednesday, 25th October 2023.

Frank will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving wife Bridget and daughter Siobhan, his cherished grandchildren Jonathan, Darren, Aedeen, Leanne and Shane, great-grandchildren Katie, Rhys, Francis and Lewis, sisters-in-law Mary and May, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Frank will repose at his home (Eircode A92 TY05) on Friday, 27th from 3pm to 7pm.  House Private on Saturday Morning Please.  Removal on Saturday, 28th leaving his home at 9:40am to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee arriving for 10 o'clock Funeral Mass.  Burial afterwards in Ballapousta Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Luke Farrelly Knockattin, Knockbridge, Louth

Luke Farrelly, Knockattin, Knockbridge, Co. Louth.  Peacefully in the wonderful care of Moorehall Lodge, Ardee on Thursday, 26th October 2023.  

Luke, beloved husband of Patricia and father of Susan, cherished granddaughters Lily and Hazel, son-in-law Steven.  Luke will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving family, his brother Philip, sister-in-law Marie, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.  Predeceased by his brother Joe and Joe's wife Wendy.

Luke will repose at Finlay's Funeral Home, Tierney Street, Ardee, Co. Louth (Eircode A92 TW68) on Friday, 27th from 4pm to 7pm.  Funeral Home Private on Saturday morning, please.  Removal on Saturday, 28th leaving Finlay's Funeral Home at 11:30am to St Mary's Church, Knockbridge, arriving for 12 noon Funeral Mass.  Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Eileen Duffy (née Hearty) 6 St. Nicholas Avenue, Dundalk, Louth, A91 P2N0

Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife and best friend of Johnny and adored mother of Stephen, John, Brian & Teresa (Donnelly). Predeceased by her parents Willie & Teresa brothers Charlie, Jim & Danny and sister Teresa. Eileen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, sons, daughter, cherished grandchildren Jack, Johnathan, Kevin, Glen, Clodagh, Lauren, Emma, Caragh, Shauna, Hannah & Katelyn, doting great-grandchildren Kaden, Kaylen, Warren and Madison, daughters-in-law Rachel, Ciara & Mary, son-in-law Paddy, brother Robert, sister Mary (Louth), brother-in-law Jimmy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved her.

Reposing at her home on Thursday between 6pm and 8pm and on Friday between 2pm and 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.30am (walking) to St. Nicholas' Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Thereafter to St. Patrick’s Cemetery for burial. House private for family on Saturday morning.

Eileen’s family have asked for those attending her funeral to wear colourful clothing to celebrate her life. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to The Palliative Care Team.

The death has occurred of Paul Corrigan Dunleer, Louth, A92 E983

The death has occurred, in his 77th year, of Paul Corrigan, School Lane, Dunleer, unexpectedly but peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family. Paul, beloved husband of Helen (née McCormack) and loving father of Derek, Anthony and Louise. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Josephine, brother Peter and sister Nancy. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren Sarah, Emma, Laura, Laia, Aisling, Dylan and Max, brothers Paddy, Jim, Tony, Dickie, Matt and Kevin, sisters Angela and Mary, daughters-in-law-Jenny and Fionnuala, Louise’s partner Garth, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home (Eircode A92 E983) on Saturday from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm to Saint Brigid’s Church, Dunleer arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm which can be viewed live at https://www.dunleerparish.ie/2015/06/st-brigids-church-tv/. Burial afterwards in Mosstown Cemetery. Messages of sympathy may be left in the Condolence section below.
