There was a wonderful turnout for Bellurgan FC’s Fun Day at Flynn Park on Saturday last.

Catered for were boys and girls from six to eleven, and with the weather Gods at their kindest, a wonderful day was enjoyed by the children and their parents. There was no shortage of activities.

A bouncy castle was there for non-competitive activity, while a free-kicking competition and a girls versus boys match kept everyone entertained throughout the afternoon and evening.

Hot food and a shop on site kept the hungry and the thirsty satisfied. One of the highlights was the presentation of medals.

The winners of the Most Improved Player of the Year, and Overall Player of the Year got a great reception, as did all the children for their sportsmanship and team spirit.

The sheer volume of children present was a testament to the strength of activity in the Bellurgan club, which is already looking forward to next year’s event. The young footballers were wished the best of luck for the new season.
