While Ireland is basking in sunshine at the moment, a weather forecaster says it may be "under threat" by the weekend.
The recent good weather comes due to an area of high pressure settling in, though this looks to be less promising as we move towards the weekend.
According to weather expert Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather, latest models suggest that this weekend could see the return of rain across parts of Ireland as a potential low could visit our shores.
He wrote on X: "Ohhh latest ECMWF wants to send the low to Portugal next weekend! However GFS wants to blow it up over Ireland. Let's hope ECMWF is on to something here."
It has been forecast to continue in the 10-14 degrees range this week, while some weather models predict that Thursday will see some light rainfall in parts of Ireland.

Met Éireann forecasts that it will be mainly dry until next weekend. However, it will turn cooler after that.
The outlook for next weekend is uncertain, Met Éireann forecasts.
"At the moment it looks like there will be a fair mount of dry weather on Saturday with a few showers. Sunday looks like being a cloudier day with outbreaks of rain. It will continue cool with temperatures of around 9 to 12 degrees," Met Éireann predicts.
