Two goals from Killian Brennan earned champions Boyne Harps a narrow victory away to Ardee Celtic on Thursday night.
Brennan opened the scoring direct from a corner in the first half, despite Ardee ’keeper Hugh Murphy claiming to have been impeded, but within five minutes, the hosts were level as Robbie Reynolds converted from the spot following a foul on Bryan O’Connor.
After the break, the game continued to flow with chances at either end, the last of which Brennan took to send the Deesiders to their second defeat.
