Dundalk FC's Darren Crawley wins League of Ireland Press Officer of the Year award

Dundalk FC's Darren Crawley landed the SSE Airtricity/SWAI Press Officer of the Year award last night.

Now a four-time winner of the accolade, he saw off competition from Shelbourne's Frank Young and Declan Kerr of Finn Harps to claim the prize he last won in 2016.

Crawley worked with former Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny throughout his reign, including during the magical, 12-game European run of two years ago.

However, there was no luck for the Lilywhites in the Carl O'Malley category, the gong which is presented for the Website of the Year. Bohemians saw off both the champions and Waterford FC in the running here, with their PRO, Luke O'Riordan, there to accept the award.

The full ceremony takes place in January, where Dundalk are again expected to take home some silverware.
