RIP: Tributes paid for popular Louth woman 'who would light up a room with her infectious smile'

Maureen Scott has passed away recently

Tributes have poured in for Louth local and mother of six Maureen Scott following her recent death.

Maureen died peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, surrounded by her loving family.

She was previously receiving the care of the nurses and staff of Cúram Care Home in Dundalk.

She will be sadly missed and remembered by her heartbroken daughters Samantha, Marie, Donna and Aishling, sons Alan and Thomas, her brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Eileen, with one mourner writing,

"My deepest condolences to Rebecca and entire family on the very sad passing of Maureen who would light up a room with her infectious smile, Maureen was a huge character and loved nothing more than a wee bit of banter and a great laugh. Maureen I shall never forget our moments we shared together ,you may be out of my sight but never out of my heart Maureen may your gentle soul rest in eternal peace fly high my friend xx".

"Samantha, Alan, Marie, Thomas, Donna, Aishling and the Leonard Family, deepest condolences to you all on the passing of Maureen. Maureen was lovely lady with a great smile and personality. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time. May Maureen’s gentle soul rest in peace," another message said.

Another message said, "Condolences to Samantha, Alan, Maria, Donna , Thomas and Aishling. So sorry to hear that your mammy has passed away. What a great photo of her and just how I remember her. May she RIP".

"Rip maureen u were a true lady , the laughs we use to have with u working in the mushrooms u always had us in stitches , thinking of your lovely family at this sad time," another person wrote.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:

In accordance with Maureen's wishes, her reposal and funeral are strictly private.
