Louth Motors: New car from Kia EV4

EV4 Fastback

More cars from Kia, this time the EV4. And there are more to come before the year is out too like the EV5, K4 and new Stonic. They are very busy at Kia who is now the one of the big 5 in Ireland. The most interesting one from first impressions is the Fastback.

The style is very much in keeping with the current Kia themes and you can see EV3 and EV6 cues everywhere. It’s all very futuristic and pushing the envelope stuff. It looks a lot better up close than on a screen and has not a small amount of presence.

The EV4 is also the first all electric car to be produced in Europe showing real commitment to Europe. No doubt there will be a similar Trump pleasing move in the USA. The batteries from the Korean manufacturers are the Ronseal of the EV industry meeting the range claims in reality there or thereabouts, and this new EV4 has had extreme endurance testing of the battery to guarantee its long-term durability, efficiency, and reliability.

That should offer comfort to those who need it before moving away from petrol/diesel. The best claimed range is 625kms and I for one would like to try and achieve that and hopefully not wearing a Jurgen Klopp coat, with no heating on and the radio off for the motoring equivalent of a Matt Talbot penitential road trip experience.

Prices start at €39,940 and there are some attractive 0% finance options available.

Kia have landed the car here well in time for the 261 reg plate sales and based on the runaway success of the EV3 that arrived at a similar time last year, I’ve no doubt that there is a huge list of buyers waiting to trade in and order one along with new to the brand drivers.
