Cllr Nash also shared photos on social media on Tuesday night, of flooding on the Ardee Road in Dundalk, advising that Dundalk fire service were continuing to assist householders on the Ardee Road who are still at risk of flooding.

The Dundalk South councillor added, "Huge thank you to all emergency sercice staff and Louth County council workers, whether it be on the phones or on the ground. Your efforts today in assisting the public is greatly appreciated."
