The death has occurred of Derek (Decko) Moran of Ashling Park, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully on Wednesday 21 January 2026. Predeceased by his wife Madeline (née Kavanagh), daughter Marion, son Wayne, grandson Brandon, parents John (Jackie) and Molly, and brother Tom. Beloved dad of Gary, Erin and Derek, and dearly loved partner of Esther.
Forever loved and missed by his sons, daughter, partner, adored grandchildren Tamika, Aoibheann, Greg, Marion, Maisie, Max, Mylah, Brandon and baby Michael, son-in-law Greg, daughter-in-law Lauren, brothers Jackie, Billy, Alan and Bobby, sisters Betty, Nancy, Peggy, Sandra and Linda, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at his daughter Erin’s home Afton Drive, Greenacres on Friday from 12 noon to 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of The Holy Redeemer, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. House strictly private on Saturday Morning. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.

The death has occurred of Rose Hand (née Geraghty) of Annaglog, Ardee, Co Louth
In her 88th year, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Tuesday 20 January 2026 after a brief illness and surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband Tony, her mother and father Kathleen and Joseph, brothers Joseph, John, Kevin, and Bill, and infant granddaughter, Laura.
Sadly missed by her loving and devoted children, Muriel Durnin and husband John, Michael Hand and wife Ann, Martina Russell and husband David, and Jacqueline Pierre and husband Kenny, her cherished grandchildren Jason Hand, Niall Hand, Shane Hand, Nicole Russell Serpa and husband Charlie, Seán Russell and wife Maggie, Ciarán Russell and partner Nicolette, Jonathan Durnin, fiancée Robyn, and son Ruhn, and Craig Durnin and fiancée Nicola.
Reposing at Finlay's Funeral Home, Tierney Street, Ardee, Co. Louth on Friday from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning leaving Finlay's Funeral Home at 9:30am to St. Catherine's Church, Ballapousta arriving for 10am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
