May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Kathleen (Kitty) Laverty (née Burns) of 23 Mill Street, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday 1 December, 2025. Kitty, daughter of the late Edward and Kathleen, beloved wife of the late Barney (June 1990) loving mother of John, Eamon, Brian, Niall, Carl, Mary and the late Patrick loving granny of Cathy, Aoibhín, Seán, Bernard, Sarah, Hannah, Joseph, Carl and James and sister of Michael (USA), Johnny (Dundalk), Susan Cumiskey (Castleblaney) Philomena Rafferty (Dundalk) and the late Pete, Ned, Gene and Larry.

Kitty will be sadly missed by her daughter, sons, grandchildren, son-in-law Patrick Clarke, daughters-in-law Brenda, Anna and Laura, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home from 2pm until 8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Removal on Thursday to St. Josephs Redemptorist Church arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patricks Cemetery. All enquires to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers, McGeoughs Funerals.

The death has occurred of John McGuinness of The Square, Blackrock, Co Louth

Peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Sunday 30 November 2025, after being lovingly cared for by the staff of Blackrock Abbey. John, (Former member of Louth County Council and Harbour Commission), beloved husband of the late Maureen née Hoey (June 2024), dear father of Paula, Dermot, Brenda and Kevin, loving grandad of Stefan, Darren, Shauna, Nessa and Aobha, brother of the late Matt, Jim, Peter, Ella, Pat, Richard, Tom and Eddie.

John will be sadly missed by his sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Darren, daughters-in-law Martina and Robyn, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, from 2pm until 7pm on Tuesday Removal on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm from his son Dermot’s Home, walking to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, arriving for Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. All enquires to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers McGeoughs Funerals.
