Pharmacies around Dundalk open for emergency prescriptions

A number of pharmacies are open around Dundalk today - for those in need of prescriptions and other necessities.

Castletown Pharmacy is open until 9pm tonight while Smyth's Life Pharmacy at Seatown Place opened at 12pm.

McCabe's Pharmacy in Dundalk are opening their doors for four hours this afternoon, in a bid to provide emergency prescription dispensation to those who need it most.

Their outlet, located at Adelphi Court on the Long Walk, is one of nine outlets nationwide that will be open today as the much of the country remains in lock down due to the severe weather conditions and heavy snowfall blocking streets and roads.

'The well being of our prescription customers and the safety of our employees is of paramount importance,' McCabes Pharmacy said today.

'We will monitor the weather situation and issue updates on Saturday's store openings via our social channels and website mccabespharmacy.com.'

Bradley's Pharmacy in Blackrock is also be open today to serve the public.

Shopping centres such as the Longwalk and the Marshes are closed today, as are other pharmacies such as Leavy's on Clanbrassil Street, Hickey's Pharmacy at Tesco and Kieran's Avenue Pharmacy. If you plan on making your way to your local pharmacy, we recommend calling ahead to ensure they are open for you.
