UPDATE: Road repairs FINALLY planned for damaged Dundalk road

Louth county council have told the Democrat that repairs to the badly damaged and potholed section of road at the top of Stapleton Place are set to commence shortly.

In a statement released this afternoon, the council revealed when they will be carried out between Saturday February 18th to Sunday February 26th.

"Works are scheduled to be carried out during the mid-term break in order to minimize disruption to traffic and those living, working and schooling in the area."

Local diversions will be in place during the closure, which is provisionally planned for the above dates. Submissions in relation to this can be submitted up until 4.30pm on Wednesday February 1st.
