WOLFE TONES 2-13 NA PIARSAIGH BLACKROCK 2-7
Wolfe Tones picked up a vital victory that saw them move out of the bottom two in the Division 3A table when they got the better of Na Piarsaigh Blackrock.
With Naomh Fionnbarra losing on the same night, the hosts took full advantage with a fully deserved six-point win to move within a point of their opponents.
It proved to be a real team effort for the Tones and on a night when they had nine different scorers, Darren Weldon was the chief point scorer on the night with three.
The first half saw the Tones have the better of things but a goal from David Boyle kept Na Piarsaigh in the mix as the hosts led by 0-6 to 1-2 at half time.
The Dundalk men battled in the second half and although they maintained their interest with a goal from Sean McAuley, the Tones were in no mood to allow their advantage to slip. Goals from Garrett Cooney and Liam Gaffney ensured the Drogheda side came out on top.

STABANNON PARNELLS 0-11 NH FIONNBARRA 0-7
Stabannon moved top of the Division 3A table thanks to a four-point victory away to Naomh Fionnbarra on Thursday night.
Parnells have been in fine form of late and they produced another confident display that allowed them to take full advantage of the Oliver Plunketts defeat against Glyde Rangers.
Once again Harry Butterly came up with the goods in terms of scoring as he finished with a total of eight to inspire victory.
With the Finbarrs also on a good run of late, it was no surprise that there was little to choose between the teams in the opening period. When the short whistle sounded, the visitors held a slender 0-5 to 0-4 advantage.
The second period saw the visitors have slightly the better of things and Butterly’s points helped keep them in the driving seat. There were also points for Niall Cluskey, Sean Reynolds and Bobby Butterly on a very positive night for Stabannon.
Ciaran Markey did his best to rescue the game for the hosts as he finished with five points, while Michael McArdle and Cormac Reynolds were also on target.

GLYDE RANGERS 0-9 OLIVER PLUNKETTS 0-7
Oliver Plunketts patchy form continued on Thursday night when they suffered what could be a costly reverse away to Glyde Rangers.
The defeat sees the Drogheda side slip back to second place, two points adrift of outright leaders, Stabannon Parnells.
Glyde went into the game equally desperate for the points and that determination helped them clinch a vital victory. Although they remain bottom of the table, they are now just one point behind Nh FIonnbarra in what is turning out to be a very interesting race to avoid relegation.
Brian Duffy landed five important points for a Glyde Rangers outfit that were leading by 0-4 to 0-3 at the end of a tight first period.
