Deaths in Dundalk - Wednesday 9 August 2023

The death has occurred of Angela McMANUS (née Brown) Culhane Street, Dundalk, Louth

Peacefully, at home, in the dedicated care of her family. Beloved wife of the late Jimmy, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary and dear mother of Jimmy, Paul and Alan. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing sons, daughters-in-law Sharon, Maura and Elaine, grandchildren Stephen, Sarah, John, Tasha, Conor and Sarah , great-granddaughter Ava Rose, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Bridge Street, Dundalk (Eircode A91 KW52) from 2pm-8pm on Tuesday, August 8th. Removal on Wednesday, August 9th, at 12 noon, proceeding on foot via Legion Avenue, pausing at the Culhane Street  junction and continuing on the eastern end of Culhane Street, through Philip Street and Patrick Street to St. Nicholas' Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm. After Mass, the cortege will continue to St. Patrick's Cemetery for burial.

The death has occurred of Aidan FINNEGAN 3 Foughillotra Road, Jonesboro, Armagh, BT35 8JF / Dundalk, Louth

Peacefully, at home, in the dedicated care of his family. Beloved husband of Pauline, son of Anna and the late Frank and dear father of Shane, Corey, Shauna, Paudi, and Lauryn. He will be deeply missed by his heartbroken wife, sons and daughters and their partners Emer, Ciara and Craig, grandchildren Laela, Ruby, Leo, Cody and Frank, mother, brothers Noel, Kevin and Damian, sister Orla, brother-in-law Michael, sister-in-law Catherine, mother-in-law Kathleen, sisters-in-law Noeleen, Geraldine, Bernadette and Elaine, his extended family, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Tuesday, August 8th from Quinn’s Funeral Home, Bridge Street, Dundalk at 5.45pm to his home, to repose from 7pm. Removal on Thursday, August 10th,  at 11.20am, driving from his home to his mother’s home, then proceeding on foot to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Jonesborough, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Church Hill Cemetery, Jonesborough.

The death has occurred of Christopher Ejike Long Avenue, Dundalk, Louth

Christopher Ejike, Long Avenue, Avenue Road, Dundalk.  Suddenly, in Scotland 25th July 2023.  Christopher, much loved son of Francis and Juliana dear brother of Juliana, David, Cynthia and  Francisca. Christopher will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, sisters, brother, aunts, uncles, relatives and many friends.

Christopher's will repose at McGeoughs Funeral Home Jocelyn Street (A91XW66) from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 11am in St Patrick's Cathedral. Burial afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery.

The death has occurred of David James COONEY Dundalk, Louth

Beloved son of Theresa and the late David, brother of Leanda, Vanessa and Jordan, doting dad of Hazel and partner of Rebecca. He will be so missed by his heartbroken mother, siblings, daughter, partner, nieces, nephews, cousin and best friend Ricky Nesbitt, brother-in-law Ali Naveed, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his mother’s home, Moorland Road (Eircode A91 X6K0) for visitation by the public on Wednesday, August 9th, from 2pm.

Removal on Thursday to the Emmanuel Community Church, Seatown Place (A91 W722) arriving for Service at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
