Gardaí appeal for information after alleged robbery at Dundalk petrol station

Gardaí were alerted to the incident at a petrol station on the Newry Road, Dundalk, at approximately 5pm on Saturday, March 7.

Gardaí are appealing for information following an alleged robbery at a business premises in Dundalk over the weekend.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident at a petrol station on the Newry Road, Dundalk, at approximately 5pm on Saturday, March 7.

During the incident, a sum of cash was taken from the premises.

Following enquiries, Gardaí later arrested a man in connection with the alleged robbery.

The man, aged in his 40s, has since been charged and appeared before Drogheda District Court.

Gardaí said that as the matter is now before the courts, no further details can be provided at this time.
