Jam-packed weekend of live music planned in Dundalk's Toales

Music-lovers in Dundalk are in for a treat this weekend as Toales Rock Bar and Live Venue have an unforgettable three nights of gigs planned.
To kick-off the weekend, the hugely popular Fireside Sessions will feature Catherine McCrystal and Jude Calvey on Thursday, 20 February at 9pm.
The intimate and cosy setting of the Fireside Sessions is sure to deliver another fantastic night of music with this week's headline act Catherine McCrystal from Northern Ireland serenading the audience with her rich voice and American folk, country and bluegrass influences.
The acoustic guitarist has over 15 years of experience performing gigs with her original music and beautifully curated covers. Then, making his Fireside Sessions debut, local singer-songwriter Jude Calvey will provide support on the night.
With admission free as always, this week's Fireside Sessions is not to be missed.
The larger-than-life punk-rock powerhouse The Frenzy of Tongs will make their long awaited return to Toales all the way from Providence, Rhode Island on Friday night, 21 February.
Describing themselves as "a pro-wrestling punk rock band… or maybe a punk rock pro-wrestling band," The Frenzy of Tongs' last gig at Toales last year left audiences wanting even more and now they're back and ready to blur the lines between sound and chaos.
Support on the night will come from Dundalk's very own The Gakk who will be performing songs from their highly anticipated new studio album. The garage-punk trio Fat Rabbit, another local Dundalk favourite, will be opening the night.
Tickets cost just €8 and doors open at 8pm. This is sure to be a great night for punk rock fans!
To finish off the weekend in style, the Gurriers will perform an already sold out gig at Toales on Saturday, 22 February. Dublin’s high-energy alternative quintet will perform new songs from their acclaimed debut punk album 'Come and See.'
Originally formed in 2020, their raw post-punk sound has captivated audiences with hit singles such as 'Sign of The Times,' 'Nausea' and the BBC Radio 6 Music A-lister 'Des Goblin.'
The show features support from Shamrock Showband. The border-pop duo of Jamie Bishop (Muckno) and Conor McAuley perfectly blends Irish country with punk, setting up the ideal atmosphere for the Gurriers' electrifying performance.
The sold-out show kicks off at 8pm sharp and will definitely be a memorable one!
