VIDEO: Cooley residents protest against Dundalk-Carlingford Greenwway

Convoy of vehicles takes place this morning from Cooley to Louth County Hall

Landowners, farmers and residents of the Cooley Peninsula brought a convoy of vehicles from Cooley to Louth County Hall in Dundalk this morning, to deliver petitions against the planned Dundalk to Carlingford Greenway. A convoy of tractors headed the the well attended protest.

Once the convoy reached County Hall in Dundalk, protesters carried a box that read "1,300+ submissions" and "Our opinions matter", like a coffin to the front of the building, where they were met by Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council, Cllr Kevin Callan, who took the petitions from the protestors, to deliver them to to Louth County Council.
