Pope Francis visited Ireland in August 2018 in what was the first papal visit to the country since Pope John Paul II in 1979.
In just a short two-day trip, the late Pontiff visited the Knock shrine in Mayo and a homeless centre run by the Capuchin Fathers. As well as this he attended a meeting with Irish victims of clerical abuse.
The long-awaited papal visit concluded with a large open-air mass in the Phoenix Park where people from all over the country travelled to meet the Pope.
Take a look back at some of the photos captured at the historic gathering at the Phoenix Park and Croke Park for the Festival of Families.
