Consolers take to the stage in Toales on Friday night
Here's what's happening in Toales Live Venue and Rock Bar on Crowe Steet in Dundalk this week.
Thursday 9th April - Fireside Sessions Presents CHRISTY O'HANLON (Crow Black Chicken) +Catherine McCrystal - Free Admission - Show starts 9pm.
Toales’ Fireside Sessions has fast become a Dundalk staple—an intimate acoustic night where some of Ireland’s finest songwriters and performers strip it all back by the glow of the fire.
Each show brings something new, up close, and always free.
This Thursday the series welcomes Cork blues powerhouse Christy O’Hanlon, frontman of acclaimed trio Crow Black Chicken.

Known for his hard-hitting electric sound, O’Hanlon switches gears for a raw, acoustic set full of deep blues, soul, and rich storytelling, with shades of Gov’t Mule, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Led Zeppelin.
Support on the night comes from Fireside favourite Catherine McCrystal, whose stunning voice and heartfelt songwriting have made her a standout of the series.
Music starts at 9pm and as always, admission is free.
Friday 10th April - Yew Tree Presents CONSOLERS + Arco Arena, Nightlamping, Koi - Doors 8PM - Admission €10
A high-impact night of original music lands at Toales on Friday, April 10, as Yew Tree Promotions present Consolers with Arco Arena, Nightlamping and Koi. Doors 8pm, €10.
Belfast five-piece Consolers have moved fast since their 2025 debut Inhale, earning support slots with Fangclub and The Wood Burning Savages and airplay across BBC Introducing and Irish press.
Produced by Jonny Woods (Wynona Bleach), their debut album Deep Breaths dropped in February 2026 to strong acclaim, with critics praising Sonja Sleator’s standout vocals and the band’s big, hook-driven alt-rock sound.
They arrive in Dundalk as part of their Irish tour.
They’re joined by Dundalk’s Arco Arena, renowned for explosive, genre-mixing live shows, alongside local rising shoegazers Nightlamping and Toales' favourite Koi.
A loud, tight, no-frills bill — built for the live room.
Saturday 11th April - BLUE DENIM + The Eugene O'Hanlon Three + Pixie Nova -Doors at 8pm - Admission only €5
Dundalk legend Paul Carolan is back doing what he does best—looking cool and sounding even better—when Blue Denim roll into Toales on Saturday 11th April.
Expect pure “Rolls Royce Groove”: slick, soulful, and smoooooooth as Blue Denim fuse soul, Latin and country with the kind of swagger that feels ripped straight from a Tarantino film—sharp suits not required, but highly encouraged.
Frontman Paul Carolan, one of the town’s most seasoned operators, leads a band that doesn’t just play music—they strut it.
Backing up the groove, Pixie Nova brings her own soul-rock punch, while Toales favourites The Eugene O’Hanlon Three return after absolutely tearing the place apart on St. Patrick’s Day. No pressure lads.
