The Bonnevilles will take to the stage in Toales tonight, Friday February 9th
FRIDAY 9 FEBRUARY - THE BONNEVILLES plus supports VANKIL ECHOES + A.N.J.A.
Get ready for a night of trashy garage punk blues.
The Bonnevilles are shaking Northern Ireland in a way it hasn't felt since Van Morrison & Them obliterated Club Rado in 1964 and Stiff Little Fingers blew apart The Trident in 1977!
The Lurgan duo don't so much play punk blues as use it as a spring board to create a completely new genre, taking Mississippi Hill Blues and Punk Rock to blow the roof off with their own unique dark Northern Irish Punk Blues stew.
Support comes from Vankil Echoes, who wowed the crowd the last time they played Toales with their progressive hard indie rock, and A.N.J.A., the German-born and Belfast-based singer, who's dynamic raw energy is captivating audiences with her unhinged, anthemic tunes, powerful, sometimes sultry vocals, evil riffs and a badass attitude.
Laced with grit and dripping with realness, Anja Romer, the driving force behind A.N.J.A., is harkening back to retro punk and garage, psych and stoner rock, effortlessly combining coolness with mystical tinges all the while radiating fierce feminine energy and unapologetic confidence.
Admission €10. Doors open 8pm.
