Many places dry, cool and crisp at first with sunny spells. However, further showers will soon spread from the west, some turning heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms and hail in the afternoon.
Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees and becoming breezy with moderate to fresh and occasionally gusty southwest to west winds developing.
Showers will become mainly confined to western and northern parts on Thursday night, where they'll continue heavy at times.
It'll be drier elsewhere with lengthier clear spells.
Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light to moderate west to southwest winds, fresh to strong along the Atlantic coasts.
