A wet and windy start on Friday with spells of heavy rain. Brighter weather with showers developing for the afternoon.
Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees in strong and gusty southerly winds that will veer southwest and ease somewhat with the clearance. Southerly gales on coasts until afternoon.
Plenty of dry and clear weather on Friday night but there'll be a few showers in Atlantic coastal counties.
Cooler than previous nights with lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in a moderate southwest breeze.
