Dundalk FC's Michael Duffy and Seán Gannon have been nominated for the SSE Airtricity/SWAI Player of the Month award for April.
Both played instrumental roles in the Lilywhites' unbeaten run through the month, which included home wins over Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians.
Bohs pair Danny Mandriou and James Talbot, Roberto Lopes of Shamrock Rovers and Waterford midfielder Zak Elbouzedi are the others in contention for the gong.
Dinny Corcoran (Bohs) and Jack Byrne (Rovers) are the last two winners of the monthly award.
Dundalk travel to Dalymount Park on Friday night to take on the Gypsies knowing a win will send them to the top of the table.
