Carlton Ubaezuono has signed with First Division promotion hopefuls Longford Town following his departure from Dundalk FC earlier in the day.

The 20-year-old spent last season with Galway United on-loan from the Lilywhites, but with Stephen Kenny having moved on as manager, the DkIT graduate follows him out of the Oriel Park exit door having come through the club's academy.

First-team opportunities were scarce for the talented left winger, though he did impress when involved in the subsidiary competitions.

In news of incomings, John Gill is poised to join the management structure, while a deal for Daniel Kelly to transfer from Bohemians is also nearing the announcement stage. 'Keeper Aaron McCarey's move from Warrenpoint Town will be confirmed in January.
