This proposal drew the ire of some GAA supporters in the county when it emerged that Dundalk Young Irelands' Leinster JFC final versus St. Brigid's in Drogheda would be staged against the inter-county fixture. The Irelands match starts at 1:30pm.
However, Louth GAA announced earlier today that Wayne Kierans' opening competitive affair has now been switched to avoid conflict.
