NEFL Division Three

Bay FC 5-0 Kells Celtic

Bay FC scored five of the best to extend their lead at the top of Division Three to five-points on Friday night

Damien Bellew's side had far too much for mid-table Kells Celtic in a game where Mark Larkin was once again among the goalscorers as the striker moved his goal-tally into double-figures for the season.

While the corresponding fixture was a tight battle - won narrowly by Bay, 2-1 - this was an entirely different type of contest as the winners got on top from the off. Aaron Kelly and Larkin had efforts before Alan McCartney, on his return to the team, broke the deadlock, lashing home first time.

Nevin Novosel doubled Bay's lead within two-minutes in almost identical fashion before Larkin, who had assisted his side's second, fired home a third goal to leave the hosts nursing a 3-0 lead at the break.

A fourth arrived on the hour-mark as Larkin completed his brace after good work by substitute Ryan Dillon and Kevin Scollon rounded off a comprehensive night's play with Bay's fifth, slotting beneath the Kells 'keeper after a fine passing move.
