Dundalk FC have announced the re-signing of midfielder Robbie Benson on a one-year deal.
The midfielder signed his new contract at Oriel Park this afternoon following weeks of speculation linking him with a move to Scottish Premiership outfit St. Johnstone.
2017 was perhaps the best season of the Westmeath man's career as he netted 12 times in 37 appearances including scoring in the drawn FAI Cup semi-final with Shamrock Rovers.
His new deal will see him extend his stay with the Lilywhites to a third season having joined from UCD ahead of the 2016 campaign.
