Micky O'Kane rescued Muirhevna Mor a deserved share of the spoils against Trim Celtic on Sunday.

The striker got on the end of a cross in the closing minutes to level a match which the Blues had within their grasp following Brendan Hughes' first-half opener.

Muirhevna Mor led through Hughes' goal at the break, though, they felt slightly underwhelmed with this advantage considering they passed up further chances to extend their lead.

A manic five-minute spell midway through the second-half saw the game turn dramatically in Trim's favour. Having equalised, the title-chasing Meath men went in front in comical fashion. A ball forward saw 'Mor right-back Conor Gorman stretch in attempting to clear. However, his efforts saw him divert the ball goalward. It rebounded off the crossbar before cruelly deflecting into the net off the back of 'keeper Michael Cooney, who had no chance of stopping it

But, typically, O'Kane was on hand to grab a point for the champions who remain third in the Premier Division

Muirhevna Mor: Michael Cooney; Conor Gorman, Philip Duffy, Adrian Rafferty, Brian Begley; Gary Clarke, Colin Hoey, Thomas McShane, Billy Smith; Micky O'Kane, Brendan Hughes
