Ruaidhri Higgins will continue in his opposition analyst role with Dundalk FC having not been named in new Derry City manager Declan Devine's coaching team.

Devine, a former assistant of Dundalk supremo Stephen Kenny, was announced as Kenny Sheils' successor on a two-year deal this evening.

There had been strong speculation last week linking Higgins, who has worked on the Lilywhites' backroom team since 2017, with a role under Devine at the Brandywell.

However, Kevin Deery, Marty McCann and Paddy McCourt will instead work with the Candystripes next season.
