Dundalk FC announce the signing of striker Ronan Murray

Ronan Murray

Dundalk FC have announced the signing of striker Ronan Murray.

The Mayo man joins the Lilywhites from Galway United where he spent last season, scoring 13 goals in 32 appearances and making it on to the PFAI Premier Division team of the season.

The length of his deal is yet to be confirmed, though it's believed to be a two-year agreement.

At 26, Murray is highly experienced having spent six-years in England with clubs including Ipswich Town and Notts County.

Linked with moves to Cork City and Sligo Rovers, Murray becomes the second ex-Galway player to join Stephen Kenny's side following Stephen Folan's signing on Friday.

His final goal for the Tribesmen came against Dundalk on the final day of the season.
