Gardai investigate death of man discovered unresponsive in car

Gardai are investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive in a car in Co Tipperary.

Gardai and emergency services were called to an incident involving a single vehicle outside a premises on the Old Dublin Road in Nenagh shortly after 10.10pm on Wednesday.

The driver, a man aged in his 40s, was discovered unresponsive at the scene.

He received medical treatment and was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he was later pronounced dead.

The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

The scene was preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and gardai say the road has since reopened.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses who may have any information regarding the incident to come forward.

Road users with camera footage, including dashcam recordings, who were travelling in the Nenagh area between 9pm and 10.30pm on Wednesday are asked to share this material with gardai.
