RIP: Businessman (50s) dies in tragic farm accident in Kildare

A man who was killed by a fallen tractor loader in Kildare named locally

A fatal accident is now under investigation following the tragic death of a 58-year-old man in County Kildare.

The man has been named locally as Eamonn Egan, who was Chief Executive of an insurance firm.

According to BreakingNews.ie, it is understood that a tractor loader had fallen resulting in the death of the business man.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the accident and Eamonn was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out in due course.

The Health Safety Authority, when asked for a statement, said: "The HSA is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation. As such, no further information is available at this time."
