Gardaí responded to reports of dangerous driving in Dublin 15 last Friday, February 9 and on arrival they observed two cars racing while the driver of a third car, who was trying to perform doughnuts, failed to observe the other two cars.
The result was a burned out Golf that eas completely wrote off due to the collision with the other two cars which were racing.
One driver was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Another male in his 20s fled the scene following the collision but was later arrested under road traffic legislation. He has since been charged and is due before the courts.
