When will the third €150 energy credit be paid in 2024 amid big bills?
The third and final energy credit announced in Budget 2024 to help households with the cost of living will be paid in March.
The first electricity credit of €150 was paid in December after the government's announcement of the support on October 10 last year.
The second credit instalment of €150 started to appear on energy accounts on January 1. Some households received the December and January credits in one go.
The third and final credit, €150 once again, will start to be available from March 1, 2024.
The Government Electricity Credit will be automatically available to residential electricity customer accounts and no action will be required from the customer.
For pay as you go customers, the credit instalment of €150 will be automatically applied to your PAYG meter on March 1.
