ALERT: Northern Irish police seek public's help to find missing child

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a nine-year-old girl who has gone missing in Belfast.

Sophie Kane was last seen in the Mersey Street area of east Belfast when she made off from her parents at around 2.30pm on Sunday.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Anyone who has spotted Sophie or knows of her current whereabouts should contact police immediately.”

When she went missing she was wearing black leggings and a blue hoody, and was carrying a pink bag. She had her hair tied back.
