Goals from Liam O’Hanlon and Billy Smith were decisive as the Dundalk men continued their bright start to the season.
The Clans will look to pick up their first piece of silverware when they meet Wolfe Tones in the decider after the Drogheda men came through their last four-game against neighbours, St Nicholas.
The foundations for victory were laid in a dominant first half as goals from Billy Smith and Liam O’Hanlon had the Dundalk men in commanding position as they turned around with a 2-4 to 0-2 advantage.
The Tallanstown side did improve in the second half, but they were never in a position to threaten a comeback.
The Clans saw the goalscorers add to their points tally as they eased home in a game that saw Mark McGeown, Jason Cullen and Aidan McCabe on target.
Clan na Gael: Sean Smith; Conor Smith, Donal Boyle, Craig Callan; Jack Callan, Conor Noonan, Craig Long; Gerard Curran, Shay Coleman; Gavin Gaffey, Mark McGeown 0-1, Robbie Curran; Liam O’Hanlon 1-4, Billy Smith 1-3, Jason Cullen 0-2.

Wolfe Tones 3-14 St Nicholas 2-16
Wolfe Tones edged a tight Drogheda derby to book their place in the final of the Kevin Mullen Shield at the expense of St Nicholas on Saturday afternoon.
Eoghan Brennan was the hero for the winners as he landed the decisive point to dash the hopes of Nick's side, who had come up short after an impressive second-half comeback.
In a first half dominated by the Tones, there was little to indicate there would be such a dramatic conclusion as the half-time whistle sounded with the blue-and-yellows leading by 3-5 to 0-6.
Dwayne Leavy, Conor Farrell and Eoghan Brennan all found the net to put their side in a comfortable position.
The lead was out to 11 points early in the second half, but the Nicks showed great character to get themselves right back in the game. Goals from Jamie O’Brien and Fionn Meagher, along with points from Hayden Quinn, saw the Nicks get back on terms.
However, it was Brennan who had the last word as he landed a later winner to send his team into the final.

Powerscreen New England Kevin Mullen Plate
O’Connells 2-23 Westerns 1-9
O’Connells made it through to the final of the Kevin Mullen Plate thanks to a comfortable victory over Westerns on Saturday afternoon at The Grove.
O’Connell’s started the game in good form with Jackie Agnew firing over an early point to get his side on the board before the teams shared the next four scores, with Robert Quigley and Niall Conlon both getting their first points of the game.
Westerns got the first big chance of the game when a point effort dropped short, and Anthony Durnin forced the ball into the net.
This seemed to spring O’Connell’s into life, with the home side getting the next 11 points to extend out into a commanding lead.
Two points from Niall Conlon, seven for Robert Quigley, including two two-pointers, one for Jackie Agnew and one for Cathal O’Brien, pushed O’Connell’s into a dominant position that they never looked like giving up.
Two more scores for the visitors did little for confidence as O’Connell’s took a 0-14 to 1-5 advantage into the break. Adam Duffy and Killian Crosbie were on target for the Westerns.
The second half started in a similar fashion to the end of the first, with Niall Conlon and Robert Quigley getting early scores on the board before Joshua Horwell saw his pass attempt turned into the net for O’Connell’s first goal of the game.
Niall Conlon would add two more points of his own before finding the back of the net for O’Connell’s second goal of the game, putting the result beyond any doubt, despite points for the Westerns from Dylan McDonald.
One more point each for Niall Conlon and Robert Quigley, along with a point for Rian McKeever, saw O’Connell’s safely progress to the final, where they will take on Nh Fionnbarra.

Nh Fionnbarra 1-22 Annaghminnon Rovers 3-11
Nh Fionnbarra are eyeing the chance to start the season with silverware in the trophy cabinet after reaching the Kevin Mullen Plate Final with victory over Annaghminnon Rovers.
In what proved to be a competitive game throughout, the Ballygassan side did just enough in the end to set up a meeting with neighbours, O’Connells, in the decider, with a goal from Niall McCreesh instrumental in this high-scoring encounter.
That three-pointer came in the opening half to give the Barrs the edge, but at the other end, both Dwayne Markey and Colin Campbell found the net to cut the deficit to 1-11 to 2-5 at halftime.
Tony Brennan added a third for Rovers just after the break to put his side in with a real chance. However, the Finbarrs regrouped and finished strongly to book a place in the decider.
Nh Fionnbarra: Fionn McQuillan; Adam Kirwan, Ronan Callaghan, Adam Hanratty; Máirtín Murphy, Colin McGrane, Sean Boyle; Matthew O’Reilly, Chris McGlynn; James Markey, Stephen O’Reilly, Conor Boyle; Ciarán Murphy, Jack Murtagh, Niall McCreesh.
