May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of John (JP) Pender of An Slí, Toberona, Castletown, Dundalk, Co Louth / Co Dublin

Passed away peacefully at his home. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget (Biddy) Pender, late of Fatima Mansions and Weaver Street, Dublin and brothers Willie, Stephen and Danny. Sadly missed by his loving family, his sister Patricia, brothers Paddy, Mick, Gerry and Tony, brother-in-law David, sisters-in-law Betty, Jacqueline, Eileen and Maria, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his friends in An Slí, extended family and large circle of friends.

Reposing at An Slí, Toberona, Castletown, Dundalk, from 4pm-7pm on Wednesday 11 March. Removal on Thursday at 10.40am, to St. Joseph’s Church, Castletown, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Mount Jerome Cemetery, Harold’s Cross, Dublin, arriving at 2.15pm. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.

The death has occurred of Jim McReynolds of Gort Na Glaise, Blackrock, Co Louth, and formerly from Carickfergus Co Antrim 

Peacefully, on Sunday 8 March, in the love and tender care of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by his family and dear friends. Jimmy the Blues Man. Predeceased by his son Jim back in 2016. He will be sadly missed and remembered fondly by daughter-in-law Mari-Anna, his wonderful friends from Waterford, Lenny and Chris, Jessica, Mo, Zayd, Ziya Burns all his great friends in the Freewheelers Motorcycle Club Waterford and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Jim's life will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.

The death has occurred of Bozlur Rahman formerly of “Balaka”, Shore Road, Dundalk, and originally from Khidir Baria, Bangladesh.

Retired Surgeon. Died peacefully in Dublin on Monday 9 March 2026, in blessed Ramadan, at the age of 96, surrounded by loving family. Predeceased by his loving wife Máirín Murray Rahman, brothers Lutfur and Zillur, sisters Subhi, Rejia and Feroza.

Greatly missed by his loving family, son Mark, daughters Rebecca, Rachael and Naomi, son in law John, brother Daudar, brother in law Brendan, sisters in law Stella, Neilu, Ethna and Verna, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, neighbours and the Muslim Community.

Reposing at the Dublin Mosque, South Circular Road, on Wednesday 11th March from 12.15pm to 12.45pm, followed immediately by Janaza prayers for the deceased. Burial at Newcastle Cemetery, Co. Dublin.
