May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Denis Ryan of Glenwood, Dublin Road, Dundalk, Co Louth 

On Wednesday 4 February, in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Oliver Plunkett Hospital. Denis, beloved husband of Kay née Boshell, dear father of Colin (Lorraine), Brendan (Anne), Raymond (Cathy), the late Martin (Melina), loving grandad of Charley, Robbie, Cormac, Ella, Sam, Darragh and Iarla and brother of Joan, Patricia, Anne, Bernie, Deirdre and Seamus. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, brother, sisters, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Mc Geoughs Funeral home, Jocelyn Street, from 3pm until 7pm on Thursday. Removal on Friday morning to The Church of the Holy Family, arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery. House private at all times. All enquiries to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers, McGeoughs Funeral’s.

The death has occurred of Peter (Peadar) Rice of Upper Point, Bellurgan, Dundalk, Co Louth

On 4 February 2026, in the dedicated care of the staff of Boyne Ward, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Agnes and Peter, brother Patrick (Pat) and sister-in-law Monica. He will be sadly missed by his niece Donna (White), nephew Ronnie, grandnieces Caoimhe, Sibéal, Niamh and Rachel, grandnephews Seán, Peter and David, his extended family and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Friday from 6pm-8pm. Removal on Saturday to the Church of Our Lady of the Wayside, Jenkinstown, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery, Ravensdale. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired online to the North Louth Hospice and Homecare Foundation. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.

The death has occurred of Fergus A. Murphy of Dalkey, Co Dublin and formerly of and Dundalk, Co Louth and Malahide, Co Dublin

On 3 February, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of staff at Mount Tabor Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Margot and devoted father of Keelin, Judith, Jeff, Marita and Nichola. Very sadly missed by his wife and children, daughter-in-law Aoife, sons-in-law Paul Heneghan, Robin Williams and John Vard, grandchildren, James, Emma, Finn, Rory, Anna, Róisín, Luke, Kevin, Eoghan and Isaac, siblings Geraldine, Yvonne, Paul, Vourneen and Caroline, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, Aunt Marie, extended family and his wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Massey Brothers Funeral Home, Newtownpark Ave, Stillorgan Park, Blackrock, on Thursday afternoon 5th February from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Sandymount arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium at 12:30pm.
