May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Agnes McDonald formerly of Pearse Park, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, in Surrey Ward, England on 8 January 2026. Agnes, former employee of P.J. Carroll’s, daughter of the late Arthur and Rita and stepdaughter of May, loving mother to Deborah, dear nanny of Mona, Cara, Niamh and Alannah, aunt of Rita, Joan, Anto, Eddie, Peter, Shane and the late Aidan, sister of Briege, Gertrude, Veronica, Gerard and the late Arthur, Mary and Maura mother and nanny to many.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, brother, sisters, son-in-law Vince, relatives and friends. She resided in Charters Court care home and in August celebrated her 90th birthday surrounded by love.

Reposing at her nephew Peter Coleman’s home, 95 Manydown Close on Wednesday 28 January from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Thursday 29 January to St Patricks Cathedral arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards n St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Pat McParland of Monksland, Carlingford, Co Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of St. Peter’s Ward, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his baby grandson Joseph, parents Felix and Annie, sisters Maureen, Felicia and Bridie and brother Jim.

He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife Mary Rose, sons and daughters Phelim, David, Noreen, Padraic and Annmarie, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law Siobhán, Ann-Marie, Gerry, Treena and Martin, grandchildren James, Ryan, Cáleigh, Éimear, Shane, Jack, Ben, Shóna, Mia, Annie and Tom, great-grandchildren Éala and Harry, his sister Nan, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the residence of his son, Padraic, Monksland, on both Friday and Saturday, from 2pm-9pm. Removal on Sunday, January at 2pm, to St. James’ Church, Grange, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Enquiries to Quinns’s Funeral Homes.

The death has occurred of Ayden Xola Peters late of Haynestown, Dundalk, Louth

Suddenly, on Saturday 17 January 2026. Forever cherished by his heartbroken wife Neesha, his beloved son Ahyan and his unborn baby. He is deeply mourned by his sister Meghan, his cousins, uncles, aunties, extended family and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and spirit. 

Reposing at his home on Saturday 24 January from 2pm-5pm. Ayden's life will be celebrated in a ceremony in the Eternity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Sunday 25 January at 9am. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.
