Gardaí are urging parents to be vigilant following reports that groups of teenagers are planning to gather in Lordship on Friday night, ahead of the Halloween weekend.
According to Cooley Peninsula Community Alert, local Gardaí have been made aware of a number of online groups organising meet-ups in the area.
These gatherings, they warned, have in previous years led to instances of anti-social behaviour and property damage.
A Garda operation will be in place this weekend as part of Operation Tombola, which targets illegal fireworks and Halloween-related disorder.
Gardaí say there will be a zero-tolerance approach to any form of anti-social or criminal activity. Extra Garda resources have been allocated to the Cooley Peninsula, including the Lordship, Carlingford and Omeath areas.
