The death has occurred of Brian (Bonzo) Byrne of Rockville, Rock Road, Blackrock, Co Louth
Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday 28 September 2025. Brian, much loved husband of the late Liz, dear father of Emma, Simon, Avril and Megan, loving grandad of Ali, Xavier, Felix, Esmè, Arthur, Noah, Lizzie and Indie, brother of Claire, Dudley and the late Arthur. Brian will be sadly missed by his son, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Alan, Garret and Gerard, daughter-in-law Adele, brother, sister, nephews, nieces, relatives, Dundalk Rugby Club and many friends.
Reposing at his home from 2pm until 7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Removal on Thursday afternoon to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for Mass at 2.O’Clock Burial afterwards in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. House private at all other times. Peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Friday 26 September 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Matt and Rita, sisters Monica and Lynn. Dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his beloved partner and best friend Joan, sons Paul, Denis, Matthew, Martin and Noel, daughter Siobhan, son and daughters-in-law, beloved grandchildren, brothers John and Arthur, sisters-in-law, nephew and friend Robbie, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street. House strictly private at all times. Removal on Monday afternoon at 2.30pm driving to St. Peter’s Church, Dromiskin arriving for Funeral Mass at 3 o’clock, followed by burial afterwards in Dromiskin Cemetery. Family flowers only. Predeceased by his parents Sonny and Patsy, sister Margaret, nephew Gregory and niece Emma.
