The death has occurred of Mary Bellew (née Thornton) of Cherryvale, Bay Estate, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Mary, beloved wife of the late Brendan, much loved mother of John, Bridget, Rose, Eamonn, Brendan Jr., David and the late Maureen, adored grandmother of Alexander, Mia, Hayley and Emilia, son of the late Joe and Rose and dear brother of Kathleen (Lennon), John and the late Eugene (in infancy), Rose (O’Connor) and Jim. Mary will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law David, daughters-in-law Jenny, Magda and Katrina, sister, brother, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing in the Serenity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk, Co. Louth on Saturday, 16 August from 3pm-6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday 18 August in the Church of the Holy Family at 11am. Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of St. Francis’ Nursing Home, Mount Oliver. Predeceased by her husbands John McCabe (St. Nicholas’ Avenue) and Stephen Conroy, parents John and Bridget and siblings John, Vincent, Francis, Brendan (in infancy), Ena, Dympna, Bridie and Goretti.
She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken sons and daughters Brendan, Finnbar, Barry, Stephanie, Michele, Edmund and Leon, sons-in-law Laurence, Karl and Niall, daughters-in-law Barbara, Dolores and Ann-Marie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Phyllis and Monica, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family circle, neighbours and friends.

Peacefully, in the wonderful and kind care of the staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, on Wednesday 13th August 2025. Predeceased by his parents: Kathleen (nee Rogan) & Francis Laverty.
Fr Derek will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his kind, loving and beloved cousins and their families: Mary, Michael, Celia, Seán, Nuala, Bernie, Alley, Concepta, Emer and Áine, his extended family, his religious community of the Sacred Hearts’ Sisters, Brothers and Secular Branch members, neighbours, friends and all those he ministered to in his various appointments.
