May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Eileen Mc Mahon (née Heaney) of Belfry Crescent, Dundalk, Co Louth and formerly of Kilwilke Estate, Lurgan, Co. Armagh

Peacefully on Wednesday 23 July 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Teresa's Ward, Beaumont Hospital, with her loving husband by her side. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridget, and her son Eddie. Beloved wife, childhood sweetheart and soul mate of Hugh, dear mam of Michael, Pearse, Noel, Paul and Nicola.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, sons, daughter, son-in-law Emmet, daughters-in-law Tracey, Emma and Ana, Michael's partner Shirley, her many adored grandchildren, Aaron, Amy, Iarla, Pearse Og, Turlough, Tiernan, Ailbhe, Liana, Sandra, Cintia, James, Jessica, and Sophia, brothers Michael and Francis, sister Christina, brother-in-law Tony, sister-in-law Brenda, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, the many foster children she has cared for over the years especially Becky, Stephen, Brandon and Christopher, and also her little dog Freddie.

Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Friday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning from her home, Belfry Crescent at 10.10am on foot to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation service. Family flowers only, donations if desired to The Irish Cancer Society. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home 042 9339796.

The death has occurred of Kitty (Catherine) Magee (née McKenna) of Sliabh Breagh, Ardee, Co Louth

Peacefully under the wonderful care of the staff at Gormanstown Wood Nursing Home on Thursday 24 July, 2025. Predeceased by her husband Kevin, her parents Patrick and Janie, sisters Alice and Mary. She will be sadly missed by her much loved and devoted family Pat, Noel and Jean, her cherished grandchildren Luke and Cian, daughter-in-law Kathleen and Jean's partner Jodie, brother-in-law Paddy, sister-in-law Ita, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and good friends.

Reposing at her home in Sliabh Breagh, Ardee, Co Louth on Friday from 3pm and on Saturday from 11am to 6:30pm with removal at 7pm on foot to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee arriving for 7:30pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 12noon, burial afterwards in Ballapousta Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Richard O'Shea of Drumacavoy, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan,  Dundalk, Co Louth & formerly Listowel, Co. Kerry

On 24 July 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by his cherished family, at his sister Maura & brother-in-law Jim's home. Predeceased by his parents Richard & Molly and his niece Eavan. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved family; his partner Jonathan, his sisters Maura (Jim) and Siobhan (Pat), his nieces Fiona & Maire and his nephew Denis, his extended family, friends, neighbours & his colleagues at the Department of Social Protection, Dundalk.

Reposing at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Friday, 25th July, from 5pm until 7pm. Richard's funeral cortège will leave the Funeral Home on Saturday, 26th July, driving to St. Enda's Church, Killanny, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by private cremation. No flowers please, donations in lieu, if desired, via donation box c/o Lonergan Funeral Directors or directly to Carrickmacross Cancer Society.
