Louth company Easydry shortlisted for four national export awards

Easydry was founded by Dundalk native Anne Butterly,

Easydry, the Louth-based pioneer of 100 % compostable towels, has been shortlisted in four categories at this year’s Export Industry Awards, organised by the Irish Exporters Association.

Now in its 23rd year, the awards celebrate Irish companies demonstrating excellence, innovation, and resilience in global markets. Easydry is a finalist in the following categories:

  • Export Innovation of the Year
  • Manufacturing Exporter of the Year
  • Private Irish Business of the Year
  • Sustainable Trade Exporter of the Year

Founded in 2003 by entrepreneur Anne Butterly, Easydry has grown from a homegrown idea into an international brand that supplies salons, barbers, gyms, hospitality and healthcare providers in over 25 countries. The best selling Easydry Towel is marking its 20th year this year and is on track for continued growth across Europe and North America.

Easydry’s signature product, a single-use, 100% compostable towel, offers a smarter alternative to traditional cotton towels. Made from FSC-certified wood pulp, it is more absorbent, more hygienic, and significantly reduces water usage, laundry costs, and CO₂ emissions for professional clients.

Speaking about the shortlisting, Easydry CEO Anne Butterly said: “We’re proud to represent Irish innovation on the global stage. These nominations recognise the work of our brilliant team and the strong partnerships we’ve built with clients who care about performance and sustainability.”

Easydry has ambitious growth plans and the company is also expanding further into hospitality and fitness sectors, helping businesses reduce environmental impact while improving customer experience.

Butterly recently completed the Accelerate Green Programme, led by Bord na Móna, designed to support companies delivering real climate solutions.

The Export Industry Awards Gala takes place on 3 October 2025 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, where winners from 12 categories will be announced.
