Plans for new housing development in Haynestown

Plans are underway for a new housing development outside Dundalk, with a planning application lodged this week with Louth County Council.

Terry McKevitt has applied for planning permission for the development at Haynestown, Dundalk, seeking to build 14 new houses.

The planned units comprise four, two storey, three-bed detached dwellings and 10, three-bed, two storey semi-detached dwellings. The planning application also provides for items including access roadway, public footpaths, open spaces, connection to existing sewerage system, boundary treatment and landscaping.

A decision is due on the application, which is at a pre-validation stage, by 28 May 2025, with submissions due by 7 May.
